Dryleaf Dane Questline walkthrough
In Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, you’ll encounter an NPC named Dryleaf Dane while exploring the Scadu Altus region. Interestingly, you have the chance to meet him earlier as a summon sign during the Rellana, Twin Moon Knight boss fight in Castle Ensis.
Our comprehensive guide to Dryleaf Dane’s questline in the Elden Ring DLC will help you locate him and complete all necessary steps to finish his quest.
Dryleaf Dane location
While exploring Scadu Altus, you’ll come across Dryleaf Dane. He can be found at the Moorth Ruins Site of Grace.
Dryleaf Dane summon sign
Your initial encounter with Dryleaf Dane actually occurs just outside the Rellana, Twin Moon Knight boss fight. Here, you can summon both Dryleaf Dane and Needle Knight Leda to assist you in the battle.
Pick up the “May the Best Win” gesture and monk’s missive
The next step in Dane’s questline takes you to the Highroad Cross Site of Grace, located just north of Castle Ensis, your initial destination in the Scadu Altus region.
As you approach this site of grace, you’ll find two items linked to Dryleaf Dane: the Monk’s Missive and the “May the Best Win” Gesture.
The Monk’s Missive is a brief note indicating that a monk located to the east desires a wordless duel with you.
Challenge Dryleaf Dane at Moorth Ruins
Upon reaching the Moorth Ruins Site of Grace, you’ll notice Dryleaf Dane standing close by. He won’t engage in conversation since he is the monk mentioned in the missive. To challenge him, use the “May the Best Win” Gesture in front of him, initiating the fight.
After defeating Dane, he will vanish, leaving behind the Dryleaf Arts weapon and Dane’s Hat helmet on the ground nearby.
